who is a professor at Princeton, has an excerpt in a book I am reading for class...one paragraph stood out to me and i thought it would be a relevant discussion for this board

Singer has advocated euthanasia for disabled kids, considers animals and people to inhabit the same moral plane, sees nothing wrong with bestiality... Maybe that's why folks don't seem to have any comments on his quote.

yeah, this cat is really out there, and i dont really disagree with what he is saying, but hes made it impossible to take him seriously.

The quote may have some validity, but when I see something from Singer, I tend to dismiss it right away. I'm probably wrong in doing that, but the guy is so off the wall that I find it difficult to read what he has to say, regardless of the validity.

nope, didnt say that, just said this guy has so many ridiculous things, its hard to actually put in any stock to what he says.

not askin for an endorsement of the guy, i'm not in love with everything the guy believes in myself...i presented a quote and figured i could get some discussion about it on here...how bout we change who said it...ok let's say George Bush said it...discuss...

The guy is an idiot- the reason Lee is admired is because he beat the socks off greater forces for 4 years while Lincoln searched for someone to match him. He never found him. Sherman burned ,raped and murdered the war to an end. The troops quit cause their wives and daughters were being killed. Check the morals of the North, for 300 bucks you could buy someone to take your place. [img]/LDPforum/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img] Politics at it's finest. That war was about cheap labor, same thing as "outsourcing" now, union busting, same deal. Keep someone down any way you can.
